I love traveling, meeting new people, seeing new places and learning new things about the different cultures around the world. When I was in high school, after getting my first job at McDonalds, I saved up all my money to do a humanitarian trip in the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Experience was a missionary and pastoral project that allowed me to experience the Catholic community amongst the less privileged and the impetus of solutions for a better world. This experience was eye opening and changed my life. I hope to one day be able to have the same impact on my students. This experience was the beginning to my new love for traveling.
Other than traveling, I am a advocate for a healthy lifestyle. In my spare time you will often find me at the gym or finding new ways to be physically active. One of my favourite classes at the gym is BodyFlow and I am working towards becoming an instructor. I would like to find a way to incorporate my Catholicism to a similar version of mindful awareness and to share this practice with others. A practice where the power of God’s grace influences me, giving me the opportunity to collect and refocus my thoughts and energy in a more meaningful catholic lifestyle.
I went to a catholic francophone school growing up so I am bilingual and find any opportunity I can to speak French. I love traveling and learning about new cultures. I’ve traveled in the Middle East and Europe and look forward to share my experiences with my students.
